The shortlist for 2016 is…..

Andrew Marr, presenter of The Andrew Marr Show, got Iain Duncan-Smith’s first broadcast interview after he resigned from the cabinet.

Shelagh Fogarty, LBC Presenter, interviewed solicitor Mark Small after he lost a series of clients following tweets gloating after he won a case against a family.

Kirsty Wark, presenter on BBC Newsnight, spoke to Sue Klebold, mother of Dylan Klebold, one of the Columbine killers.

Stephen Nolan, presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live, interviewed Michael O’Connor hours after he had been trapped in the Bataclan the night of the terrorist attacks.

Victoria Derbyshire, presenter of the Victoria Derbyshire programme, interviewed Shaker Aamer, the last British resident held at Guantanamo Bay.

Lyse Doucet, the BBC’s Chief International Correspondent, interviewed 4 former IS hostages for Radio 4 programme ‘Held Hostage in Syria’.

William Crawley, BBC Radio Ulster presenter, interviewed Sister Martina Purdy, who swapped journalism for life as an Adoration Sister.
